It took eight days of spoon-feeding, cajoling, experimenting, but the Grubworm is back! My 12-yr-old Chihuahua, Marlet, has had an enlarged heart and Congestive Heart Failure for over a year and is treated with Lasix. Her nickname is “Grubworm” for good reason so I was somewhat alarmed when she refused her kibble and ate nothing but a little beaten raw egg for 2 days. I honestly don’t recall how I “found” PawHealer, but I was attracted by the specificity of the quiz to match their formulas to my pet’s problem. I ordered the CHF powder which she rejected, and “Hound Honey” heart syrup, which she lapped up with some egg. I bought some “Gentle Giant” wet food (simply because it came in small cans), dissolved the CHF granules in water and mixed them with the syrup which, for her, was the key. I quickly ordered more. Improvement was swift and steady. She still coughs, but not as bad, and still has trouble with all but “small dog” kibble, but her spirit and appetite are back, she accepts the undissolved CHF granules mixed with the “Gentle Giant” food that may have also played a role in her recovery which, in my estimation, has been remarkable. By the way, Each order was at my door within 2 days and e-mails were answered overnight! Also remarkable.
